Abstract

The vesiculobullous disorders are a group of diseases in which components of the epidermis/oral mucosa and basement membrane zone are the focus of attack, resulting in the formation of cutaneous and mucosal blisters. Early diagnosis and treatment of these severe and potentially life-threatening disorders has been permitted by the development of rapid and reliable immunofluorescence techniques. The immunofluorescence findings in the vesiculobullous disorders are reviewed together here.
