Oral Sub Mucous Fibrosis (OSMF) is a chronic, progressive, scarring disease that predominantly affects the people of South East Asian Origin. It is a pre cancerous condition characterized by fibro-elastic changes in the lamina propria with epithelial atrophy leading to trismus and wifi a significant risk of cancer development. The disease is strongly associated with areca nut chewing as the most important etiological factor and once the disease has developed there is neither regression nor any effective treatment. Here we are presenting a case of OSMF showing malignart potential and development of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC).
