Abstract

Peri-implantitis is an infectious condition of the tissues around osseointegrated implants with loss of supporting bone and clinical signs of inflammation. This review aims to briefly highlight the diagnosis and treatment strategies for periimplant diseases which could be beneficial for the clinicians to treat with these complications that are the cause for implant failure in majority of the cases.
