A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme Regarding Conduct Disorder of Adolescent on the Knowledge of Mothers in Selected Community of Doiwala, Dehradun, Uttarakhand

In 21th century the society is suffering from many problems but one of them is behavioural problem children are having. All the running behind the education, Carrier but no one is bother about the day by day changes occurring in our behaviour and our children are learning from us. Children are the future and for better future we need to focus in children their physical health as well as in mental health. Conduct Disorder is the behavioural problem this is characterized by violation of rules, destruction of property, harming animals. Conduct problem can be managed by the good parenting.

An experimental research conducted on 62 mothers of adolescent aged within 10-19years from Prem Nagar village, Doiwala block, Dehradun. Setting was selected by Simple random sampling and samples were taken by purposive sampling. After pretesting mother taught regarding Conduct Disorder and on seventh day post test was conducted.

The intervention was found to be effective in increasing knowledge of mothers. There was no association found between pre-test level of knowledge and selected demographic variable. Mean post test knowledge score was apparently higher than the pre-test knowledge score Mean pre-test knowledge score was computed 11.31 and mean post test knowledge score was computed 15.05 and obtain value was 14.736, which was significant at p 0.05 level.

Mean post test knowledge score was apparently higher than the pre-test knowledge score. So it can be concluded that the administration of Structured Teaching program was effective on increasing the knowledge of mothers.
