The poor outcome with thrice weekly in centre Conventional Hemodialysis (CHD) and inaccessibility to good dialysis centers has rekindled the interest for Home Hemo Dialysis (HHD). Being a more physiological process allowing continuous filtration, the outcome and quality of life of patients on HHD are studied to be significantly beer than those on conventional in centre HD1. However in a developing country as in India, there are a number of practical issues to be considered in aspects as cost of equipment, patient selection, training and follow up to ensure success of such a program.
