The research project is an “Experimental study to assess the effectiveness of training programme on cancer detection in terms of knowledge among village health nurses of Othkadai Primary health centres at Madurai. The objectives of the study was to identify the knowledge regarding cancer detection among village health nurses before and after giving training programme, and to evaluate the effectiveness of training programme on cancer detection among village health nurses in terms of knowledge. The hypothesis will be tested at 0.05 level of significance
