Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death with Myocardial infarction resulting in most of the complications and mortality. A descriptive study was undertaken to assess the in-hospital outcome of acute myocardial infarction in correlation with “thrombolysis in myocardial infarction” risk score in a selected hospital Guwahati, Assam. Descriptive survey approach was used for the study and 30 samples irrespective of any age were selected by convenient sampling technique. “Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction” (TIMI) tool was used to assess risk and rate of complications and mortality of the acute Myocardial Infarction patients. The study result showed that majority of the MI patients were male and half of them belong to the risk age group of more than 64 years. Majority (60%) of the patients were at moderate risk and very less i.e. only 16.67% were at low risk. Complications of cardiac arrest and shock was observed at follow up in both low and moderate risk category and even 2 deaths were observed in the moderate risk category. Age is significantly associated with TIMI risk score predicting the risk associated with advance age.
