Pakistan and Sri lanka are both developing countries. Both are facing similar challenges as other developing countries are facing, and are situated in the South Asian region. However, the health care system of Srilanka is comparatively better than Pakistan. In this paper health care system of Pakistan and Sri Lanka was compared using Kruk and Freedman model for health care assessment in developing countries. Health care system in Pakistan fails to meet the needs of public health. Allocation of small friction of GDP, poor governance system, lack of regulatory authorities and lack of quality medical education are some of the major issues of Pakistani Health care system. Scarcities of qualified health care workers and imbalance in number of doctor and nurses further deteriorate health care system in Pakistan.
