Abstract

Sialorrhea is defined as saliva beyond the margin of the lip. Other terms used to describe these conditions are drooling, ptyalism or excessive salivation this condition is normal in infants but usually stops by 15 to 18 months of age. Sialorrhea after four years of age is generally considered to be pathologic this was quoted by Hockstein N.G et al in 2004.
