Abstract

The Harmony Of The Smile Is Determined Not Only By The Shape, The Position And Color Of The Teeth, But Also By The Gingival Tissues. Gingival Health And Appearance Are Essential Components Of An Attractive Smile.

Case Description: A22 Year Old Male Patient Reported With Marked Gingival Overgrowth, Highly Pigmented Gingiva And Bleeding Gums And The Treatment Overtaken For Him Involved Oral Prophylaxis, Gingivectomy, Gingival Depigmentation And Undisplaced Flap. After 6 Months Follow Up, The Patient Had A Clinically Healthy Gingiva Which Was Expected At The Initiation Of The Treatment And Patient Was Extremely Satisfied With The Treatment.

Clinical Implications: The Growing Esthetic Concerns Of Patients Require A Combined Approach Towards Restoration Of Health And Esthetics. Periodontal Plastic Surgery Combining Esthetic Crown Lengthening And Gingival Depigmentation Was Performed.
