The branches of Endodontics and periodontics merge together when molars that have bifurcation and trifurcation involvements are treated with hemisection or root -amputation. It is the increased predictability of success of endodontic therapy and the increased sophistication of periodontal treatment that have given the means to save molars with furcation problems that otherwise,would be lost. This article describes a simple procedure of hemisection in mandibular molar and its subsequent restoration.
