Dentinal hypersensitivity occurs due to thermal, tactile or osmotic stimulation and affect teeth with exposed dentinal tubules. Various methods and materials are used for its management. In-office hypersensitivity can be managed by iontophoresis. In the present study 0.4mA-lmA current was used with iontophoretic unit and results show that, that lesser the current dose lesser will be its effectiveness. At least from the lowest dose which was used in this study to the highest level effectiveness increaseed. Similarly repeated applications at least upto three consecutive applications shows improved results with each application. The effect of iontophoresis is more effective on application of air blast than that of cold water.
