Recognition of sleep disorders has been a challenge for dentist because of nureo psychiatric complexities.many disorders such as sleep disordered breathing, occlusive breathing result due to underlying circadian pathology.hence, a knowledge of sleep disorders and underlying mechanisms is essential for dentist to recognise sleep associated disorders.Present review attempts to revisit the same in a simplified manner.
