TThe aim of this study was to examine the influence of the parents in competitive performance in tennis. Tennis is an individual sports where parents are very much involved in the training and the competitions of the players at junior level. Coaches and players perception was assess to understand the influence of parents in competitive performance of the players in tennis. Coaches and players point of view regarding parent's protocol before, during and after the competition was assessed with the help of self-made questionnaire. 30 coaches who were registered and certified as a coach and 30 junior tennis players of 12 to 18 years registered with All India Tennis Association, were selected as the participant. Content Validity of the questionnaire was established with the help of experts view. Split Half Method was used to set the reliability of the questionnaire. Findings revealed that the parents can influence the competitive performance in tennis and it was suggested to educate parents regarding tennis and competitions.
