The purpose of the study was to find out the individual and combined interventions of Tai chi, Pilates and Yogic Practices on cardio respiratory endurance of B.Ed. Trainees. To achieve the purpose of the study seventy five female B.Ed. Trainees from Sri Raja Rajan College of Education, Amaravathiputhur, Karaikudi, Sivaganga (Dt), Tamilnadu were selected as subjects. The selected subjects’ age ranged from 21 to 25 years. The selected seventy five subjects were categorized into four experimental groups and a control group. For the purpose of the study, the experimental group -1, was allocated for Tai chi exercise (n-15, TE) the experimental group-2, was allocated for (n=15, PE) Pilates exercise, the experimental group -3, was allocated for (n=15, YP) yogic practices, the experimental group-4, was allocated for (n=15, COM) combined practice of tai chi, pilates, yogic practices and group 4 served as control group (n=15, CG) which did not underwent any specific programme. The cardio respiratory endurance was selected as dependent variables. The cardio respiratory endurance was measured by Cooper’s 12 minutes run/walk test; scores recorded in meters. The test was taken before and after the training interventions. The paired sample ‘t’ test was applied to find out the training effect before and after the training interventions. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the significant difference, if any among the groups. In order to find out superiority effect among the groups, the Scheffe’s Post Hoc test was used. The level of significance was 0.05. After the 12 weeks training interventions all the experimental groups improved the capacity of cardio respiratory endurance in selected subjects. The best improvement was noticed in combined practice of tai chi, pilates and yoga group.
