Abstract

The results of this study will help to assert the relationship between physique with performance of soccer players and motor fitness with performance of soccer players. The results are also creating awareness to being a soccer player. A total of twenty two university level soccer players were selected as subject for present study and there training age among 7 to 8 years at the time of data collection. Physique was measured from the age height, weight, and arm length and Leg length. Motor fitness of the subjects was measured by assessing different components of motor fitness. These entire tests were conducted according to standard procedure. Speed was measured by 50 m dash test, agility was measured by 4×10m shuttle run test, leg explosive strength was measured by standing broad jump test. The performance of soccer was assessed by four judges rating on gathering match analysis data. The correlation between physique and performance is very weak. All components are positive correlation. Only 50m dash is weak correlation with performance but shuttle run and standing broad jump required strong correlation with performance. We show great difference in fitness parameters.
