The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of specific Yogic and Isometric training on motor fitness variables (Explosive Strength). To execute the study 120 boys were selected as subjects at random from North District of Delhi and their age was 16 to 19 years. They were divided into three groups namely Yoga group, Isometric training group, and Control group. The first and second groups did yoga asanas, Pranayama, Dhayana and Isometric exercise respectively for six weeks. The pre and posttest were taken for all the subjects before and after the training respectively. It was concluded explosive strength was increased by Isometric training is greater than the yogic practices.
