Integrating Esports into traditional sports programs can provide a unique and innovative way for students to develop valuable skills while promoting physical activity. In 2020, esports became a billion-dollar industry. With emerging markets increasingly embracing this trend, and with the mounting dominance of digital culture more broadly, its growth shows no sign of stopping any time soon. Combined with the name itself, esports, the phenomenon has sparked an enduring discussion about its relationship to sports. It is important to carefully consider the potential benefits and drawbacks of incorporating Esports into physical education programs, find ways to balance Esports with other physical activities, and provide adequate training and support for teachers. By embracing new approaches to physical education that are inclusive, engaging, and provide opportunities for students to develop diverse skills, we can help shape the future of Physical education. The global eSports industry (organised competitive video game playing) is worth more than $1 billion. Given the youth appeal of eSports, schools and colleges are understandably beginning to explore the connections between eSports and education. This research aspires to guide educators, policymakers, and stakeholders in harnessing the potential of esports to enhance physical education programs.
