Effects of Meditation Practices on Selected Psychological Variables of Badminton Players

Abstract

The Primary aim of the study was to investigate the “Effects of Meditation Practices on Selected Psychological Variables of Badminton Players” of State level players of NCR region. For the purpose of this study 30 players of 12 to 19 years of age were randomly selected as subject. The yogic/meditation practices will be conducted. The Anxiety (Sports Competition Anxiety), Aggression and Stress status are going to be measured through yogic/meditation practices. To determine the effect of yogic/meditation practices on Anxiety (Sports Competition Anxiety), Aggression and Stress among badminton players t‘ test will be used for each selected variables separately, the level of significance is set at 0.05 for testing the hypothesis. The findings of the statistical analysis may be reveal that six weeks of meditation program show significant improvement on Anxiety (Sports Competition Anxiety), Aggression and Stress among badminton players. The yogic/meditation program will also help to improve overall well-being of the badminton players.
