Assistant Professor,
The purpose of this study was to find out the “Individualized and combined effect of ladder training and plyometric training on Explosive power of school basketball players” were selected from Arunachalam Higher Secondary School, Kanyakumari District. To achieve the purpose of the study, Forty five girls basketball players were selected from Arunachalam Higher Secondary School, Kanyakumari District were selected the subjects random, and their age ranged from 14 to 17.The subjects were divided into three groups consist of 15 subjects. Group I underwent ladder training for 3 days per weeks for six weeks. Group-II underwent combination of ladder training with plyometric training for 3 days per weeks for six weeks. Group-III acted as control that did not participate in any special training programme . The data were collected for all the groups on selected Explosive power by using the standardized test items. The pre test and post test scores were subjected to statistical analysis using Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) to find out the significance among the mean differences, whenever the F” ratio for adjusted test was found to be significant, Scheffe’s post hoc test was used. In all cases 0.05 level of significance was fixed to test hypotheses.
