The purpose of this research study was to study the effects of weight training on the cardiovascular endurance of players. For this research study, 40 male players aged 17 to 25 years who represented the inter-college football competition from the colleges affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan in Sabarkantha district, Arts & Commerce College, Himmatnagar, Commerce & Arts College, Gromor, Government Science College, Idar, Arts & Commerce College, Khedbrahma, were selected as subjects. These selected subjects were randomly divided into 20 subjects in the experimental group and 20 subjects in the control group. In which the experimental group was given one hour of weight training three days a week for 12 weeks. While the control group was not given any experimental training. The measurement standard was the measurement of circulatory endurance through a 12 - minute run/walk test. The data obtained from the experimental group and the control group were analyzed by applying analysis of variance, covariance (ANCOVA) and the significance was tested at the 0.05 level. The conclusion was as follows. A significant improvement was observed in the circulatory endurance test performance of the subjects selected from the twelve (12) week weight training program of the method.
