The purpose of this study was to find out the “Effect of circuit training and asana practice on leg explosive power among school basketball players”. The subjects were selected from Vellammal Matric Higher Secondary School, Madurai. As per their School records, their age group was 12 years to 17 years. On a random sampling, 45 school basketball players were selected. The selected subjects were equally divided into three group’s namely experimental group I (15) will be given circuit training, experimental group II(15) will be given asana practice and Group III(15) acted as control group are not engage in any training program other than their regular activity. Pretest will be taken before the circuit training and asana practice period and posttest was measured immediately after the 6 week training period. The collected data will be analyzed with application for t’ test to find out the individual effect from base line to posttest if any. Further Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) will be used to determine the significant difference between the treatment means. Whenever the ‘F’ ratios will be found to be significant, Schiff’s post hoc test will be applied to test the significant difference between the paired adjusted means. 0.05 level of confidence will be fixed for all the variables to test the level of significance.
