The purpose of the study was to find out the “effects of low intensity of aquatic and land plyometric training on speed of school boys.” To achieve the purpose of the study, forty five school boys from Z.P. High school, Gorigenuru, Jammalamadugu, Andra Pradesh, India, were selected as subjects at random. Their age was between thirteen and fourteen. The study was formulated as pre and post test random group design, in which forty five students were divided into three equal groups. The experimental group one (n = 15 LI-APT) underwent low intensity of aquatic plyometric training, the experimental group two (n = 15 LI-LPT) underwent low intensity of land plyometric training, and group three (n = 15CG) served as control, who did not undergo any specific training. In the study, two different training approaches were adopted as independent variables, i.e., low intensity aquatic plyometric training (LI-APT) and low intensity land plyometric training (LI-LPT). The speed quality selected as dependent variable and measured by 50 meters dash. The time taken to cover the distance was recorded to the nearest second and considered as score. Low intensity of aquatic and land plyometric training were given as per the training schedule of three days per week of twelve weeks. The pre and post-test random group design was used as an experimental design. Analysis of covariance (Ancova) was used to find out the overall significant differences among the groups with respect to speed parameter. The Scheffe's post hoc test was used to find out pair-wise comparisons between groups with respect on speed. The results clearly show there was a significant difference among the selected groups on speed.
