Six exotic accessions and two popular varieties of guava (Psidium guajava L.) were evaluated and characterized for morphological, yield and quality traits under Bangalore conditions. Considerable variability was recorded for morphological, yield and quality parameters. All the exotic accessions possessed attractive red flesh with high acidity and hence are suitable for the preparation of several processed products. The accession 7–39EC 147034 was the high yielder combined with good processing qualities and high vigour hence could be exploited in crop improvement programme. The accessions 9–35 EC 147036 and EC 162904 were also found to be next best promising types.
