Abstract

Increasing the development and coaching of nursing education in the future will be directed at efforts to improve the quality of education, therefore graduated students will be optimalto show professional attitudes, mastering nursing science in an adequate level, and mastering professional nursing skills. These conditions lead coping where it is a cognitive process and behavior that aims to reduce feelings of depression that arise when dealing with stressful situations. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the coping mechanism of students facing competency exams. Data were analyzed using Logistic Regression test at a significant level of 5%.From the result of the study, it was found that several independent variables (X) influence the dependent variable (Y) with a significance value of 0.000.
