In India acute respiratory tract infections is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in young children.1 In most developing and developed countries, it is observed that the health of the children strongly depends on their parental health care seeking behavior. Mainly health seeking behavior depends on parental knowledge, understanding of children illnesses and availability of health care facilities. Poverty and transportation are the key factors for health care seeking behavior.2
