Abstract

Congenital heart defects are one of the leading causes of death among children. Congenital heart defects in children are formed in the process of intrauterine development under the influence of various adverse factors. Treatment of congenital heart defects is always surgical. Physical rehabilitation is obligatory for such children and is always applied after surgical treatment. It ensures the development of the heart muscle and the adaptation of the child to physical exertion. The main types of physical rehabilitation in children with congenital heart defects are physiotherapy exercises with elements of recreational aerobics, therapeutic massage, and physiotherapy.
