Abstract

Teenagers with menstrual cycle still experience one or more symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). High estrogen levels and imbalance of estrogen and progesterone cause PMS symptoms.

Identifying the role of estrogen and progesterone hormone imbalance on PMS in female adolescent.

Using a non-experimental design, using a cross sectional approach with 40 samples.

The imbalance of the estrogen and progesterone hormones plays a role in the degree of premenstrual syndrome. The high imbalance of the hormones estrogen and progesterone will cause a low degree of premenstrual syndrome.
