Contraceptive use is one of the main ones, which suggests that serious efforts are needed to increase contraceptive use. Understanding comprehensively the issue of the intention of conceiving by referring to ecological theory, this study provides benefits in preventing unwanted pregnancies. This study aims to analyze determinant factors of pregnancy intention with a cross sectional study design. Subjects were 100 fertile women selected randomly in working area of Patingalloang and Panambungan Community Health Center, Makassar City in 2018. Determination of study sample was based on results of the screening for pregnancy intention in last pregnancy, women who take part in screening are divided into intended and uninteded pregnancies. Data obtained through interviews using a structured questionnaire and analysis by logistic regression. Results showed that side effects, availability of methods and number of living children were found to be significantly associated with the pregnancy intention.
