Trachoma is an infectious disease carried by bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis that roll out by both straight and secondary contact with an infected person's nose or eye. The aim of current study was to diagnose the main cause of trachoma transferred by houseflies and proves this role through modern analytical techniques used in this study.
The current project addressed 12 cases. Clinical treating submitted several modern lab methods incorporated NAAT, culture, antigen detection, genetic probes; and microscopy.
Significant difference (P< 0.05) seemed to be obvious in most of the tested variables.
Our study provided an explanation of the spread of new cases of trachoma in Mesopotamia and the modern ways for diagnosis applied in biology lab to prove those cases.
