The aim of this study was to evaluate the expression of TGF-β1, C-Myc, Erb-B2 and Thymosin-β4 in acute hepatotoxicity.
The test method produced an acute hepatic model by oral administration to 10-week-old BALB/c using CCl4 and studied changes in the gene expression of TGF-β1, C-Myc, Erb-B2, and Thymosin-β4 through real-time PCR.
The results showed that the histological changes and the expression of Thymosin β4, C-Myc, and TGF-β1 gene were higher in liver injury than normal tissues.
In addition to serological and systematic examination in the prevention and determination of liver function-related diseases, genetic expression by molecular diagnostic techniques of TGF-β1, C-Myc and Thymosin-β4 could be used as an aid in liver disease determination.
