Abstract

Vital bleaching is one of the most common cosmetic dental procedures done in dental office. This procedure consists of carbamide or hydrogen peroxide gel applications that can be applied in-office or by the patient (athome/overnight bleaching system). In-office treatments utilise light to speed up the process. The objective of this article is to review the effect of light-activation sources on in-office tooth bleaching.
