Pyogenic granuloma is non neoplastic growth which most commonly seen in the oral cavity. It is a misnomer because the lesion is unrelated to infection and in reality arises in response to various stimuli such as lowgrade local irritation, traumatic injury or hormonal factors. This is predominantly seen in the second decade of life. This pyogenic granuloma is also classified under a group of vascular lesion called lobular capillary haemangioma. here we present a case of a lingual growth from the alveoloar mucosa of a young patient which has been provisionally diagmosed as pyogenic granuoma. later diagnosed as Non lobular capillary haemangioma (LCH) and lesion was excised and follow up was done with no recurrences
