Yellow rice is one type of food made from rice cooked together with coconut milk and spices. This food is very popular with Indonesian people at breakfast. Carbohydrates contained in rice are the body's provisions for activities until lunchtime arrives, but if food sanitation factors such as human factors, equipment factors, and environmental factors are not considered it will cause yellow rice vulnerable to contamination with pathogenic bacteria. One of the pathogenic bacteria that often contaminate food and beverages is Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. This study aims to determine whether or not there is contamination of Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus bacteria in yellow rice sold in Sekumpul Martapura Village. The type of research used is a descriptive survey. Samples were take in total sampling, 15 samples of yellow rice from different sellers. The results showed that 1 sample (7%) contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus, and as many as three samples (21%) contaminated with Bacillus cereus. The conclusion of the study was that there was contamination of Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus in yellow rice which were sold in the Sekumpul Village of Martapura Indonesia. Based on these studies it is recommended for sellers to always pay attention to food sanitation, especially in terms of processing to serving so that quality food obtained.
