Of late, there has been sudden rise in frequency and change in pattern of presentation in fungal infections. We conducted a prospective study to understand the epidemiology and changing pattern of these infections. Records of 243 cases with fungaemia were analyzed. Out of which the C.tropicalis was the most common yeast isolated. While Antifungal susceptibility testing report modified therapy has a better prognosis in many patients. The present study was highlights the rise of non-Albicans Candida species in our hospital with differential distribution in surgery and burn wards are noted.
