The focus of the paper is to examine how utilization of reproductive health care services varies with the change in knowledge level regarding RTI/STI and HIV/AIDS.
The data of District Level Household Survey (DLHS) conducted during 200204 under the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) project has been used for the present study. Constructing knowledge index, bi-variate and multivariate techniques have been applied in order to fulfil the specific objectives of the paper.
Analysis suggests that with increase in the score of knowledge index, propensity to utilize reproductive healthcare services increases and reproductive health problems decreases among the young women.
The paper notes that special emphasis should be given to the young married women as well as their husbands to make them more conscious about problems and prevention measures of reproductive and sexual health.
