Abstract

This paper deals with the trauma of partition of Punjab and Haryana encountered after two decades of India-Pakistan partition. Storm in Chandigarh primarily explores the clash of ideas between the power hungry politician and the national conscious politician and the calibre of new leaders and Gandhian type politician. The novel has theme of the bifurcation of Punjab into Punjab and Haryana on linguistic and religious ground as the repercussion of bifurcation of India and Pakistan.
