Health care costs increase as a result of fall injuries. patients who become injured as a consequence of a fall are reported to have higher hospital stay than those who have not suffered a fall3. Moreover, falls may result in serious physical and psychological complications. Post-fall anxiety syndrome is a serious complication, in which an individual experiences a downward spiral of reduced mobility after a fall; this leads to further deconditioning, weakness and greater risk of fall.

Frequencies, percentage, mean, Chi square and Wilcoxon Sign rank test used in the analysis of data.

Majority (82%) of the respondents were aware that they are at a high risk of fall. 82% of the respondents chose mobility impairments as a reason of fall. Among the respondent 77% recived education with respect of fall prevention. It was observed that the frequency of fall reduced after the sessions which included fall prevention programs. That was found statistically significant (Z=-4.781, p<0.05). Responses from 87% of the respondents indicated that their therapist are compliant to goals and plans to be followed.
