Recent global economy downturns worsen working conditions of employee and lead to domestic economy shrinkage, resulting in household problems, such as family discord and dismemberment. It has been brought to attention to come up with better solutions to them. This study aimed to analyze factors affecting marital relationship quality with a subject of 101 employees engaged in steel industry. The 101 married subjects in steel industry were asked to fill in a questionnaire during the whole month of July, 2016. Our results showed that there was a negative correlation between marital relationship quality and either job insecurity (r=-.205, p=.040) or job burnout (r=-.426, p<.001), but a positive correlation between positive thinking and marital relationship quality (r=.540, p<.001). Also, regression analysis accounted for the reason why positive thinking took Adj R2 29.7% in marital relationship quality (F=15.067, p<.001). Marital relationship quality more strengthened mutual ties of married couples than job insecurity or job burnout, and positively thinking minds toward life were needed. Therefore, various ways to increase positive thinking were to be sought out. Companies should be equipped with a system to keep employments stable and prevent job burnout. At the same time, social organizations should offer mediation and education programs that could help to cultivate positive thinking, and create an environment where family happiness lead ultimately to a nation-wide driving force.
