This study was carried out to verify the moderating effect of consulting service quality on the effect of type of organizational culture on consulting satisfaction.
A questionnaire survey was conducted on 600 SME employees who had consulting experience. From August 26 to October 20, 2016, the questionnaire was distributed via e-mail and visits for about two months and collected responses. Finally, 284 copies were selected and used for analysis. The statistical package SPSS 23.0 program was used to analyze the validity and reliability, followed by multiple regression analysis and the moderating regression analysis.
As a result of multiple regression analysis, only innovation culture and the performance culture have significant influence on consulting satisfaction among the four types of organizational culture. Relationship culture and hierarchical culture did not affect the consulting satisfaction. Next, as a result of the moderating regression analysis, both reliability and responsiveness, types of consulting service quality, did not moderate the effect of types of organizational culture on consulting satisfaction. Only the responsiveness was found to be an independent variable that had a significant effect on consulting satisfaction without the moderating effect. According to the results of this study, the higher the characteristics of innovation culture and performance culture, the higher consulting satisfaction, reliability and responsiveness of consulting service quality type did not show the moderating effect. This study implies that the type of organizational culture that has not been discussed in the previous research is dealt with among many factors affecting consulting satisfaction.
Consultants should seek appropriate strategies for each type of organizational culture. Consultants need to seek and study more specifically about factors that have significant influence on consulting satisfaction.
