Development of functional spectacle lens with Photo-Discoloration and ultraviolet blocking function

Abstract

The photochromic layer is disposed at the outermost periphery, and then the ultraviolet light blocking layer and the blue light blocking layer are disposed inward. The photo-discoloration requires ultraviolet rays, but the ultraviolet blue light blocking layer does not require ultraviolet rays, so the two layers must be separated. Ultraviolet rays of 410 nm or less were completely blocked, and blue light showed a blocking rate of about 40% in the range of 380 nm to 500 nm. The discoloration required 0.5 seconds and 3 seconds, respectively, in the light reaction. Photochromic spectacle lenses are generally used as in sunglasses in outdoors. This is a very useful item because it effectively blocks ultraviolet and blue light.
