Learning window design and implementation based on Moodle-Based interactive learning activities

When it comes to the educational environment, as our society emerges as being information-based and heading towards the fourth industrial revolution, a change has been taking place: from the method of transferring only fragmentary knowledge to the method of providing renewed knowledge by means of sharing it with each other whilst working in coordination with others. In terms of online learning, however, the Learning Window-in which learning is actually facilitated-is currently being utilized not only by way of delivering content, but also by offering customized learning based on interaction-based learning activities. In addition to this, learners experience inconvenience as they have to stop content learning and then transfer to another window in order to have different interactions such as quizzes and forum interaction during the course of learning. This study utilized the Moodle Learning Management System (known as LMS: the most widely used open-source software in online learning worldwide) to design and implement any possible content windows available both for content learning and interactive learning activities in a content window. It is deemed that this study will contribute to creating a customized learning environment (often characterized by: motivation for learners, increase of interaction, provision of customized content) which in turn will lead to the facilitation of interaction-based customized learning. Additionally, this study also aims to suggest the best practice for knowledge framework and competence-based knowledge design plans, which are both essential in online learning.
