Due to regulations on public procurement, the public sector has had procedures for procuring management consultants in place for many years, and the private sector is following suit. However until now, those procedures have not been validated in a scientific manner, and this study analyzes the effects of management consulting selection factors on customer satisfaction with survey methods. The data was collected from 181 companies and was analyzed by using the structural equation model. The results show that two selection factors: understanding of the client & project and consulting approaches & strategies, positively affect customer satisfaction. The experience of clients using consulting services has a moderating effect on the relationship between proposal selection factors and customer satisfaction. Practical implications and future research directions were also suggested in this study.
