The ultimate goal of this study is to develop an utterance enhancing system for language learners who are in a relatively unfavorable surrounding in regards with both spoken and written text of English. We examine effective method for enabling learners of foreign language to acquire certain level of accuracy and communication proficiency of the target language which would help the users of this system to communicate with other people whether they are native or not. The utterance enhancement proposed in this study would have the possibility of becoming a useful gadget for those having difficulties in learning foreign languages.
The English Utterance Enhancement System model using an IoT based technology allows the users to achieve self-confidence cross checking the utterance they have made. It gives an accurate solution for ensuring the revision of the incorrect vocabulary or sentence structure. Users can choose to receive the feedback from the system in real-time if they really need the feedback right away. Or they can choose to keep it for later use. The system intakes the utterance from the Mobile terminal and analyze the information data to make it useful for revision or feedback. If necessary, it goes through a comparative analysis within the digitized contents to check any possible check-up. Mistaken expressions or sentence structures will be modified through the inherent synthesizer then sent back to the user terminal for revision. Through this series of steps, users can correct errors with immediate feedback and improve the learning environment by exposing themselves more to the target language and receiving more input.
Since accuracy and proficiency are not the only factors that influence fluency in a language, convergence with a system that can handle a variety of other factors, such as pronunciation and intonation, would play a complementary role for improving the whole learning process.
