The development of science and technology in China is growing rapidly, and it is also the second largest in the world in terms of the number of SCI papers in the publication of academic papers. Korean researchers are also increasingly interested in and demanding research information on science and technology in China. In this paper, we analyzed the co-authorship relationship between Chinese research institutes and Chinese researchers based on the articles of Chinese core journals as part of analysis of Chinese research information.
In order to carry out this research, we used Chinese Advanced S & T Information Service DB developed by KISTI. The subject areas of analysis are Bio, Ocean and Aerospace. Basic statistical analysis of the articles in the journals in the CAIS DB was conducted. Based on the author information and authorship keywords, we generate co-authorship network and keyword network and calculate the major network indexes of social network analysis. Finally, we visualize the networks created using the network visualization tool.
SNA analysis on CAIS DB provides a basis for understanding the collaborative relationship between Chinese researchers and research institutions. In addition, Chinese research institutes and researchers with high network centrality in the fields of bio, ocean and aerospace have been derived and presented. Finally, we visualized the author‘s keyword network as a map and derived key research keywords and relationships among Chinese researchers.
The results of this study can help to identify the trends of researchers and research institutes in the science and technology field in China. To this end, it is necessary to build up ongoing Chinese academic information and expand the field of science and technology.
