This study is descriptive correlation research investigating the relationship among empathy ability, creativity confluence competency, and problem-solving ability in nursing students. Data were collected between April 24 and May 2, 2017, among 159 4th year nursing students attending a nursing school in W city. Statistically significant correlation was found between empathy ability and creativity confluence competency (r=.354, p<.001), empathy ability and problem-solving ability (r=.456, p<.001), and creativity confluence competency and problem-solving ability (r=.740, p<.001) in the nursing students. It is necessary to find ways to enhance empathy ability, creativity and confluence competency, in the nursing students and develop education and training programs that can improve their problem-solving skills.
