Abstract

A mentee proposes an idea to commercialize in an online idea commercialization platform, and a mentor gives online mentoring to a commercialized the proposed new idea. For efficient online mentoring, it is important to match a mentee’s new idea and a mentor well.

To increase the matching success rate based on the mentee’s proposed new idea and mentor experience points, this study extracts and categorizes technology, business value, and marketability items from the idea. Also, to calculate mentor experience point, a mentor classifies the technology, business value, and marketability of the early idea that completed online mentoring into 4 stages. For online mentoring of a new idea that classified technology, business value, and marketability, the mentee is assigned to a mentor who has the or higher same experience point stage in this study.

Using a mentee’s new idea and mentor experience points, this study improved the matching process and increased the percentage of same day matching by 10.9% and decreased the percentage of matching after 7 days by 19.3% when it examined the matching time.

By improving the matching process using the mentee’s new idea and mentor experience points, this study could shorten the mentoring matching time. Ultimately, satisfaction with a mentor-mentee online idea commercialization platform increased and online mentoring could be used actively.
