The existence of several stamps in the work disturbs the order of the art world. In this paper, technical and engineering verification methods have been studied to solve this problem. The Bodamjaein stamp of the Chosun Dynasty was selected as the survey subject. It is held in many places, usually much larger than the seal, widely known, and easy to imitate. Collected stamps were sorted by type and analyzed differently. From a technical perspective, each type was analyzed from an engineering perspective. In this paper, a technique for distinguishing similar stamps in oriental arts is presented. First, it is the basic principle of making a replication seal. It is a principle that it should be replicated according to original stamp or stamp. Next is the principle of material engineering change of the seal. Due to the nature of the seal made of jade, the damaged or worn out place is not restored. Analysis of Bodamjaein using this technique revealed at least four types. The presence of different stamps means the presence of duplicate seals. In order to prevent this, it has been suggested that the reliability of stamps in oriental works of art should be thoroughly verified. And a solution for preserving the order in the art world and delivering healthy arts and culture in the future was also presented. In this paper, in order to prevent forgery of artwork and to maintain the order of the art world, the identification method, problems, and reliability of similar stamps are presented in depth.
