Metabolites produced by Burkholderia cepacia using gas Chromatography-Mass spectrometry technique and determination of its Anti-Fungal and Anti-Bacterial activity

Abstract

Analysis of the secondary metabolite products and evaluation antifungal activity of Burkholderia cepacia were objectives of our study. Thirty bioactive compounds were identified in the methanolic extract of Burkholderia cepacia. GC-MS analysis of Burkholderia cepacia revealed the existence of the Ethanol, 2-nitro-, propionate (ester), Propanedioic acid, propyl, Carbamic acid, phenyl ester, Phenyl-β-D-glucoside, 1, 5-Pentanediamine, Piperazine, 1-nitroso, 2-Octenoic acid, cis, benzeneethanamine, butyl aldoxime, 2-methyl-, syn, 2, 5-Dimethyl-1-pyrroline, Carbamic acid, hydroxyl-, ethyl ester, 2-Piperdinone, 2H-1, 3benzoxazine, 6-chloro-3-cyclohexyl, 2-butyne-1, 4-diamine, n, n’-diethyl, Ornithine, Ethanamine, N-ethyl-N-[(1-methylethoxy)methyl], 1, 4, 7-Trioxa-10-azacyclodecane, Di-[1, 3, 2]-oxazino[6, 5-f: 5’, 6’-H] quinoxaline, trans-3, 4-Epoxynonane, 3-Methyl-1, 4-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]nonan, Tripyrido[1, 2-a: 1, 2-c;3, 2-E] pyrimidine, perhydro, 2-Undecene, (Z), n-Hexadecanoic acid, Z-10-Tetradecen-1-ol acetate, Butanediamide, 2-methylene, 2, 5-Piperazinedione, 3, 6-bis(2-methylpropyl), 5-Chlorovaleric acid, morpholide, d-Proline, N-allyloxycarbonyl-, pentadecyl ester, and 4(1H)-Pyrimidinone, 6-amino-2-methyl-5-nitroso. The results of anti-fungal activity produced by Burkholderia cepacia showed that the volatile compounds were highly effective to suppress the growth of Aspergillus flavus (5.794±0.22).
