Incidence rate of helicobacter Pylori Infection and its complication among patients in Al-Diwaniyah governorate

Helicobacter pylori are the commonest bacterial infection worldwide. This gram negative bacterium infects human gastric mucosa causing long term colonization and inflammation. It has a spiral shape, which thought to have evolved to penetrate the mucoid lining of the stomach, H. Pylori infection cause chronic gastritis in the infected individuals and is a causally associated to peptic ulcer disease, gastric cancer, and mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. A descriptive analytical study is conducted throughout the period of (October 18th 2017 to May 2nd 2018) in order to assess the incidence rate of helicobacter pylori, and to determine complication associated with helicobacter pylori infection among those patients. A non probability convenience sample of (100) patients with H. pylori in AL Diwaniyah Educational Hospital at Center of digestive system, data were collected and analyzed through use of the descriptive and inferential statistical analysis procedures. The study results indicate that most of H. pylori patients is female aged (27-37) years old residents at urban areas. A twenty six were Graduate or post-graduate and half of them were unemployed and moderately socio-economic. Gastritis constituted a 55% out total number as a complications of H. pylori.
